Honda aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from all its products by 30% percent by the end of 2020, compared with emission levels in 2000.

The Japanese carmaker previously set a target in 2006 to cut carbon dioxide emissions from its motorcycles, autos and power products by 10% percent by 2010 from 2000 levels-- and said it had achieved that objective across all its product lines.

"In addition to reducing carbon dioxide emissions during production and supply chain, Honda will strengthen its efforts to realize reductions in CO2 emissions through its entire corporate activities," the Tokyo-based automaker said, as it issued its 2011 Environmental Annual Report.

Honda also introduced an environmental slogan:"Blue Skies for Our Children."
