Auto Trader has launched a free iPad application for customer to browse stock on their Apple tablet.

The company decided to optimise its website for the iPad after seeing a 133% rise in traffic from iPad devices to Auto Trader’s website over the last six months.

The iPad app features a function which puts buyers directly in touch with their local dealer. Customers can also tap on specific vehicles to get images, full vehicle descriptions and specficiations. The app also lets customers compare up to four different vehicles in their “garage” section.
