Penton Motor Group, the south of England based, Wilson family owned, Citroën and Suzuki dealer group have been appointed as the Vauxhall dealer for the Salisbury and Andover areas.

The addition of the franchise follows on from the demise of Approach in August.

The Churchfields Road site (architect's drawing below) has already started used car sales and new car sales will start in January.

Robert Wilson, group managing director, said: “Penton have now been operating successfully in Salisbury for 22 years.

“Vauxhall is an exciting new addition to our brand portfolio, it's not often you get the opportunity to take up a franchise with in excess of 10% market share. The new franchise is an exciting opportunity for everyone in our company.”

Penton has retained “a number of highly skilled Vauxhall staff members” from the Approach business, but is still looking to add to the team.
