Dealers are being invited to attend AM’s next round table on April 26, which will focus on increasing showroom footfall, changing customer attitudes towards automotive retailing and upselling.

The free-to-attend breakfast meeting for franchised dealers is in association with MAPFRE WARRANTY and will be held at DeVere Horsley Park Hotel in Surrey.

The discussion will start at 9am and come to a close by 12.30pm, and is open to automotive retailers only. A full English breakfast will also be provided at the event free of charge.

Key issues to be discussed at the event include:

• How has the current economic climate and low showroom footfall affected your business? What can dealers do differently to sustain sales/profit?
• How are customers changing in their attitudes to ways of purchasing vehicles? And what impact will this have on the industry?
• Customers often have a limited tolerance to being offered ‘add on products’. The priority is clearly car sales then finance, how do you determine your priorities after that? Where does warranty fit into these priorities?
• Regulation has changed the face of insurance sales in dealerships in recent years – and will continue to do so. What are the impacts that you are anticipating in your business through the on-going changing regulatory landscape?
