Caffyns has completed its refurbishment project at its Land Rover dealership in Lewes, Sussex.

The site features both new build elements, including a Stubbs Rich designed showroom with a 14-vehicle display and refurbished facilities.

Caffyns said the new site developments represent a “significant investment”.

Caffyns have long-standing associations with both Lewes (where they have operated for 90 years) and with the Land Rover brand (being one of a handful of dealers to have retained the Land Rover marque since its launch in 1948).

Jaguar Land Rover’s global sales director, Phil Popham attended an event to open the new showroom, which uses the Land Rover ‘21st Century’ retail concept.

Simon Caffyn, chief executive of Caffyns, said: “Feedback on the new facility has been excellent and as the Land Rover range continues to grow and attract new customers, we are able to represent the brand to its maximum potential in modern, efficient and attractive showrooms.

“We see the expansion of our Lewes dealership as another success in our aim to build on our premium volume businesses in bigger, better dealerships.”

General manager at Caffyns Land Rover Lewes, Tim Warren said: “As part of our overall development strategy, we asked Stubbs Rich to achieve three things; to create an environment our customers would really enjoy, to convey the qualities of both the Land Rover and Range Rover brands and to create display space.

“They delivered for Caffyns across the board and have created a ‘destination site’.”

Stubbs Rich is currently working with Caffyns on a number of other projects throughout South East England, as the dealer continues to progress its regional redevelopment strategy.
