AM100 car dealer HR Owen is hosting a Lamborghini festival in central London this week.

Entitled Lamborghini Uncovered, the free family-friendly event is billed as a moving museum of the Italian supercar brand's iconic V12 models.

From Monday to Saturday, the dealer will display at four seperate corners of London a fleet of historic cars flown in from the Lamborghini Museum in Bologna: 350GT, Miura SV, Countach 25th, Diablo 6.0 SE, Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster, and Aventador LP700-4.

It started on Monday at Duke of York Square on the Kings Road, moves to Finsbury Avenue Square in the financial district today and near Tower Bridge on Friday, before a Grand finale on Saturday at Marble Arch.

The group is encouraging visitors and passers-by to engage through social media, with a Facebook site www.facebook.com/LondonLamborghini hosting a photo competition incentivised with the chance to be driven in the Aventador LP700-4.

HR Owen said: "At no other point in history have these Lamborghini models been in the UK together, creating a unique opportunity for Londoners, owners, enthusiasts and admirers of the brand to celebrate Lamborghini’s glorious history."

HR Owen completes 500 test drives at London Motorexpo

HR Owen also completed over 500 test drives at last week’s Canary Wharf Motorexpo, as a result of the largest ever test drive programme at the show.

The company ran 14 vehicles simultaneously, with cars available from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Rolls-Royce.

Test drives were designed to be as convenient as possible for time-poor customers, with drive slots bookable in advance and the drives departing from right outside the main tower in Canary Wharf.

Chris Harris, marketing and customer director for HR Owen, said: "We know that test-driving a car is vital part of the purchase process, but that customers sometimes find it hard to find the time to visit one of our dealerships.

"By bringing a test-drive programme to where they work, we’re making it as easy as possible for customers to try cars they are interested in, and judging by the response they clearly appreciate the service."

This is another example of fresh thinking from the new management team at HR Owen as it seeks to grow the business.

As well as the test drives, HR Owen showcased 11 static models on stands designed to be manufacturer CI compliant, and staffed by HR Owen sales staff.

“It’s important that we build longer-term brand awareness and value for the manufacturers we work with, as well as trying to make sales today”, said Harris.

The HR Owen sells Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani and Rolls-Royce from 10 sites in London, the South of England and Manchester, and also has three service sites which add Audi and BMW/Mini to the portfolio.
