Dealers will hear predications of what will happen in the used car market from Glass’s Guide managing editor Adrian Rushmore at the AM Used Car Conference on October 9.

Rushmore believes current used car trading conditions are now the norm and he will help dealers achieve a much broader understanding of supply and demand and how it is likely to change in the coming months as well as how these key elements may influence future prices.

He said: “Factors like an ageing car parc, the threat of more forced registrations, and changes in the mix of used cars arriving on the market have to balance with low levels of retail demand. Are the current challenging market conditions the new norm?”

In addition, Rushmore will review how the statistics and methods used to create used car forecasts including Glass’s new valuation process which sees it move to multiple valuation sets based on vehicle condition.

The AM Used Car Conference will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on October 9.

Once again, hosted by former Top Gear presenter and well-known motoring pundit Quentin Willson, the conference, the most popular in AM’s calendar, promises to provide dealers with a highly informed overview of the UK’s used car market as well as tapping into the experiences of individual dealers.
