Kia dealer network set to break used car sales record this year

Kia’s dealer network is already at 86% of its target for used car sales in the UK with 7,100 units sold and is expecting to beat its target in Q4 this year.

Kia is investing in raising the profile of its approved used car programme in the UK to battle perceptions of how its vehicles retain their value. Kia approved used sales hit 121% of their September target. Kia dealers also broke approved used car sales records in the typically quiet months of June, July and August.

Yaser Shabsogh, Kia UK commercial director, said: “The Kia Approved Used car team have worked hard on raising the profile of Kia’s used car programme and have achieved great success in a very buoyant market making September our best month result ever.”

Participation in Kia’s approved used car programme is not mandatory as part of the brand’s dealer standards but 97% of the dealer network take part in the scheme.

All cars available on the used car programme must meet has a full service history, an 88 point check, an Experian check to ensure no outstanding finance is due and a 60 day or 1,000 mile exchange plan.

Every car is under 18 months old and under 18,000 miles and as well as offering one year’s European roadside assistance it is also available with seven day drive away insurance. Kia’s seven year warranty is topped back up to seven years.
