WhatCar? boosts lead generation offer to used car dealers

Whatcar.com is making its lead generation service available to used car dealers.

What Car? Connect is aimed at improving the conversion of online used car searches to qualified leads for the 1,200 members of the Trusted Dealer network benefiting from its 'approved used' membership.

The new system targets a 60% increase in leads and a 5% conversion rate from used car searches – a 25-fold improvement.

The expanded What Car? Connect service will allow the sales support team to transfer basic used car customer details  - including make and model searched for – through to the top two most relevant 'approved used' dealers by franchise and postcode.

What Car? Connect was set up as a lead generation service in November 2012. Drawing on data collected from the 2.4 million unique monthly visitors to Whatcar.com, the service is supported by a call centre capable of 50,000 calls a month to users in the market for a new car.

What Car? 'approved used' client sales director Russell Whitehouse said: “Dealers need to maximise opportunities in the used sector now, or risk losing out later. The keys to success for any dealer are keeping a lid on costs and maximising efficiency and the speed of our lead delivery is designed with the aim of meeting those business critical needs.”

    What Car will fail at this and dealers shouldn't be fooled.....What Car is without doubt no1 for consumers aged 35 to 55 who are in a new car research process and they have no used car appetite at all. Autotrader tried to enter new car market and failed and What Car will have no used car Impact at all. To many entrants into the market now...Motors, AA, RAC, We Love Any Car...dealers need to be careful who they spend their money with.
