Dacia will have a four model line-up ready for the September plate-change and it is hoping to attract customers to the brand through value alone without including deposit contributions or discounts.

Renault’s off-shoot value brand has already taken 11,000 orders in the UK off the back of two models, the Duster SUV and Sandero supermini.

The brand will have the Sandero Stepway and the Logan MCV five-seat estate in time for September 1.

Customer offers are not part of Dacia’s business model in the UK. Dacia’s 150 UK dealers are not incentivised or targeted to sell Dacia products, they purely work off a set margin on each car.

A Renault spokesman confirmed there would be a TV and online campaign to support September sales.

Prices in the Dacia range start at £5,995 for the Sandero, £6,995 for the Logan MCV, £7,995 for the Sandero Stepway and £8,995 for the Duster.

Renault launches Vive Le Summer September sales campaign

In contrast, Renault dealers will be offering prizes for each customer that takes a test drive. Each customer will win something and the summer themed prizes range from White Company picnic baskets to Lacoste sunglasses and travel speakers.

On certain dates, Renault dealers will be offering iPad minis to customers that go on to buy a Renault.

There will be discount deals on selected models. The Megane and Scenic will be VAT free in September and certain versions of the Clio and Twingo Dynamique will come with free insurance.

The Vive Le Summer campaign will be promoted using a TV ad for the new Captur crossover, as well as the new Clio and Zoe electric vehicle. Renault will also be launching a press and digital campaign to push the Vive Le Summer campaign.

All customers will get the Renault 4+ package which offers free four years/100,000 miles warranty, routine servicing and roadside assistance.
