Motoring hub attracts nearly 250,000 drivers

Nearly a quarter of a million car owners have signed up for a new community hub, MyMotoring, two months after its launch.

MyMotoring offers MoT and service, road tax, insurance and warranty reminders have been a hit, as well as being a social media channel where consumers can share pictures and video and ask for advice and support from the motoring community of owners and dealers.

It has been launched by and has 248,000 registered users - and is on track to achieve 500,000 by January 2015. 

Terry Hogan, managing director, said: “We are speaking with dealers and manufacturers to discuss how MyMotoring can help them with the change of ownership problem and also enable them to engage with car owners throughout the car owning life cycle.” is launching a new dealer hub for aftersales and a MyMotoring app in early 2015.

      @Need2Know - Spot on. You can't use the service unless you sign up, a bit like most of the social sites, linkedin, facebook etc. As a user you create your own product and manage it yourself. The social elements help to amplify this and extend the reach beyond the existing users. It's not perfect as a product yet but it is gaining great traction. But none of this is possible without significant investment in marketing across search, social and content.
