The Hendy Group has decided that it will be withdrawing from the vehicle hire market to focus on its dealerships.
Following an in-depth review at the family-owned company, it has struck a deal with SHB, who has now taken over the contract and flexi hire activity of Hendy Hire.
This saw the transfer of a fleet of around 600 vehicles, which mainly consists of LCVs with some cars and HGVs, and the appropriate Hendy Hire customer base to SHB nationwide.
Hendy Group has dealerships in the South of England representing Ford, Mazda, Kia, Honda and Iveco.
It also has an engine division, Hendy Power, which supplies sectors such as the marine and power generation industries.
