MG Motor UK has pledged to further grow and invest in aftersales care following part sales increasing by 62% year-on-year.

At its annual aftersales conference held at the Coventry Transport Museum, the company outlined its plans for 2018 and beyond.

Delegates heard that MG parts sales were up 62% year-on-year in the year-to-date, while accessories sales were also maintaining momentum.

The conference focused on ongoing training for dealers, and revealed the upcoming launch of MG’s new how-to guides.

The guides, designed to enable dealers and technicians to manage any MG vehicle issues, as well as introduce a range of new comprehensive training programmes.

MG Motor UK spokesman, Harvey France, said: “Aftersales is a crucial aspect of our business because keeping our customers happy is key to our success.

"We’ll be working closely with every individual to ensure they can access the very best training programmes that will help them to drive the MG brand forward.”

It also announced that it will continue with the quarterly campaigns in 2018 to help dealers to upsell accessories.

The packs will be grouped into themes, such as vehicle protection and styling personalisation.

The conference also celebrated top performing dealers.
