The Kia Soul EV network is expanding across the UK to a total of 19 specialist dealers by the end of 2015.

The new additions that take on the specialism this summer are Burrows in Barnsley, Premier in Dukinfield, Hendy in Eastleigh, Romford Kia, Milton Keynes Kia and WLMG in High Wycombe.

Since launching in October 2014, the EV has been a popular addition to the dealer network across the UK and with sales ahead of its admittedly small target Kia hopes the EV looks to become a serious alternative to petrol or diesel engines.

With 185 dealers in the Kia network, its existing EV specialists aren’t just city centric with dealers from St Austell in the South West of England, to Coatbridge in Scotland.

Ian Wilson, Kia Motors (UK) national franchise manager said: “By expanding our EV specialist dealer network, we are giving a wider range of customers across the UK the opportunity to go electric. The EV is not just an urban vehicle, and the breath of our network demonstrates this.”

The current Soul EV network is as follows: Beadles (Coulsdon), SG Petch (York), Bolton Kia, TMS (Hinckley), Hawkins (St Austell), Triangle of Chesterfield, Hummingbird (Colindale), Wessex Garages (Newport), Marsh (Exeter), Westdrive (Braintree), Parks (Coatbridge), Westover (Ferndown) and Roadside (Coleraine).

With an official range of 132 miles on a single charge, the Soul EV is available from £24,995 after the government’s £5000 Plug-in Car grant and has a seven year warranty, like all new Kias.
