Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has appointed fleet support agency ROI.

The deal will see ROI – a recent winner at the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards – support FCA with a dedicated 30-strong sales team, including a team of field sales managers, experienced dealer coaches, lead generation, fleet support and a business centre.

Having been named ‘Most Improved Manufacturer of the Year’ in last week’s Fleet News Awards, this move is part of a major investment to further develop, expand and enhance FCA’s corporate sales offering, which represents Fiat, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Jeep and Alfa Romeo.

It will see ROI focus on day-to-day sales activity, customer relationship management and growing volumes, allowing the FCA team to focus on developing key relationships, strengthening offers and improving the customer experience.

Francis Bleasdale (pictured), fleet and remarketing director at FCA UK, said: “With the recent addition of new products like the Fullback pick-up, Talento van, Fiat Tipo and stunning Alfa Romeo Giulia, we now represent one of the broadest and most desirable product ranges in the marketplace.

“Our continued investment in our fleet services and the appointment of ROI is part of our strategy to make us the best in the industry and to ensure we become a manufacturer of choice for fleet operators and company car drivers.”

Key to ROI’s appointment was its suite of bespoke technology solutions which include a mobile fleet sales tool, a fleet workflow and helpdesk tool plus a lead management system for FCA and its partner leasing companies and dealers.

Nigel Sandiford, ROI chief executive, said: “This is a particularly exciting opportunity for ROI as it requires us to live up to high expectations and deliver field team management, prospecting, sales support and a technology platform to support FCA in meeting their significant growth plans.

“We are committed to delivering a strategy which will support FCA Fleet and Business during the rapidly-evolving marketplace over the next few years.”
