Kent-based used BMW dealership Big Motoring World celebrated its most successful month in over 20 years of trading, in June.

Eight hundred and twenty seven cars were sold, up on 747 in May, which was in itself a record month.

Of the cars sold, 64% were BMWs and 36% Mercedes. The most popular individual car was the BMW 1 Series, with 158 leaving the forecourt.

The most expensive vehicle sold was a 14 plate BMW X6 XDrive40D Coupe in white, at £40,000, while the average sold car price across the month was £12,600. One customer travelled from Aberdeen to find the car of their dreams.

Big Motoring World has been running from its head office in West Malling, Kent for 20 years, where it stocks 2000 cars at any one time.

Founder and chief executive of Big Motoring World Peter Waddell, who broke the record for most vehicles bought in one day by one person at one sale at the Manheim Auction, said:

Salesperson Zaman Malik was responsible for the sale of 70 vehicles, he said: “I’m happy to serve customers and help them on their journey towards choosing a new vehicle. I try and set goals for my sales targets and I was pleased to be able to help so many people coming through the showroom doors.”
