Brindley Garages Group has made a £2million investment in a brand new, state-of-the-art operations centre.

Based at the former five-acre Sandvik site in Featherstone just outside of Wolverhampton, the facility houses Brindley’s recently expanded fleet and leasing department, as well as its training centre and marketing department.

A PDI workshop is fitted with five car ramps plus a five tonne ramp capable of lifting vans of any size, and  is more than capable of processing the 10,000 vehicles the company aims to pass through the department each year, said fleet and leasing manager, Clive Jackson.

In line with the growing demand for hybrid and electric cars, Brindley has installed numerous charging points at the centre as well as a 10,000 litre diesel tank for pre-fueling their standard vehicles.

“We’ve created an industry-leading facility here at Featherstone that allows us to meet the demands of companies operating a fleet of anything from one to several hundred vehicles.”

Storage is available for 600 cars - including 200 indoor spaces. “Our entire operation can be scaled up to suit the requirements of our clients. There’s plenty of room for growth and expansion, so the site will undoubtedly meet our needs for a long time to come.

“Everything from plate-making to taxation is handled here at the operations centre. Having one, central location makes the running of each aspect of the company so much easier.”

Security is of utmost importance at the site and has been carefully considered; there are electric fences spanning the entire perimeter, as well as a security office that’s manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“Our business sector clientele is increasing rapidly and we’re enjoying meeting their needs. We’re really proud of what we can offer clients and welcome anyone to come and view the site.”
