JCT600 has won planning permission for a new Vauxhall showroom on the site of its current Vauxhall dealership in Bradford.

Work is due to start on site in April when the existing showroom built in 1987 will be demolished ready for the construction of a new building with 1,000sq-m of floor space.

The enlarged showroom has been designed in conjunction with Vauxhall to provide upgraded facilities for customers as well as creating a more “imposing” building.

The Vauxhall Bradford dealership will continue to operate as usual from temporary accommodation, situated in the car park, during the redevelopment which is due for completion towards the end of the year.

“Vauxhall is one of our longest standing franchises and, indeed, our Vauxhall site on Sticker Lane is almost 30 years old.

“We felt that rather than simply refurbishing the existing building, it was time for a total upgrade,” said Mark Taylor, group property director of JCT600. In recent years, all of the leading motor retailers have focussed on designing their showrooms to make customer visits as enjoyable as possible. “
