Swansway has opened its first multi-brand centre at a cost of £4.5 million.

The business has moved from 'cramped' premises in Huntington.

Commenting on the site (pictured) in Chester, the group’s hometown, its brand director Andrew Wakelin said: “Moving to the new site from our previous cramped premises has been a culture shock, but, in the best possible way.”

“There’s room to display all our brands, Citroën, DS, Fiat, Abarth, Jeep and, for the first time, the Alfa Romeo marque.

“There are areas for customers to relax, beautiful new service and workshop areas; it really is fabulous and so much appreciated by staff and customers alike, having come from our inherited premises, which were not only too small, but also rather tired.”

Swansway Group director David Smyth said: “This project has gone very smoothly and the end result of our £4.5m investment is an excellent new dealership and the first multi-brand centre for the group.

“We’re sure customer’s will relish this new motor retail shopping experience, which is more akin to a department store than a traditional one brand dealership.”
