Marriott Motor Group has been working with the ICanBeA campaign to promote the importance of attracting young people to work within the automotive industry.

The ICanBeA website offers employers such as Marriott Motor Group the chance to promote their company to young people who might become their future employees.

ICanBeA has been developed to encourage young people to think about the wide range of career options available to them across Suffolk and Norfolk, helping them to engage with real organisations and find real job opportunities.

Paul Barnard, Marriott Motor Group’s managing director, said: “We realise the importance of giving young people opportunities in both the automotive industry and here within Marriott Motor Group.

“We are proud to be able to put these young people on exciting and rewarding career paths.”

A film crew was sent in to our various dealerships to record short videos of some of Marriott’s employees and apprentices who are under 24 talking about their roles within our business.

The idea is that the videos will inspire young people to embrace different opportunities they may not previously have thought of.

Tracey Harvey, Marriott’s HR manager, said: “Here at Marriott Motor Group, we are committed to providing support and training for those wishing to develop their skills and careers.”

Staff from Ipswich Audi, Bury St Edmunds Volkswagen and Bury St Edmunds Audi took part in the filming.
