Martins Group has started on the redevelopment of its Volkswagen site in Camberley, Surrey. 

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Martins Group took over the site from Whites in 2005. It operates two facilities in Camberley offering Volkswagen sales and separate aftersales.  

Whilst the redevelopment takes place, all employees will work from the current showroom until the new one is finished to ensure minimal disruption.

When the new showroom is ready the current one will be demolished.

Terry Handley, group chief executive, said: “The new showroom will move Martins in line with the latest Volkswagen retail sales environment.  We recognise the changing buying habits of our customers, and our new showroom will enable us to showcase the ever growing Volkswagen range.

“The new retail area will have a more spacious modern feel and include; the latest integrated digital technology, a large customer waiting hospitality area with sofas, wide-screen TVs linked to the sales executive’s iPad and all-weather valeting on site.
