Brindley Garages' Volvo Wolverhampton operation is preparing to take the wraps off its new 5,000sq-ft following a £1m investment in the purpose-built facility.

The retailer’s new Stafford Road showroom will officially be opening its doors on October 3rd following six months of development.

Conforming to Volvo’s new VRE corporate identity, the facility brings sales and aftersales facilities under one roof with the capacity to display seven cars in the showroom.

VRE, a global brand standard that Volvo Car UK is rolling out across its dealer network, is a new way of retailing designed to make customers feel relaxed and at ease in an environment that informs and provides flexible waiting, working and assessment areas.

Focusing on space and design, Scandinavian-inspired architecture takes centre stage at the dealership, both inside and out.

James Elkes, Brindley’s dealer principal, said: “After being greeted by your own dedicated service advisor in our brand new entrance, you will then be able relax in our fully air conditioned showroom, while enjoying complimentary refreshments in a comfortable lounge-style waiting area.”

The new Volvo design includes a brand new workshop environment, incorporating while you wait servicing and MOTs carried out in by teams of Personal Service Technicians (PST) working on cars as pairs.

Elkes added: “The move represents a significant investment for us and we’re pleased to announce our customers will be familiar with the faces around the dealership as we’re retaining all of our current staff and management team, as well as relocating our existing trade parts operation to the new site.

“All VRE attributes have been designed to facilitate a new level of customer experience and we look forward to welcoming customers both new and old to our stunning showroom in just over a month’s time.”
