Staff working at Lifestyle Ford in Tunbridge Wells have turned to their local news outlet in an attempt to seek clarification on a possible showroom move.

Kent Live reported that bosses at the dealership had told the site’s 100 staff that a relocation was on the cards but the workforce has heard nothing since a presentation following the business’s acquisition by Hendy Group in June.

Rumours circulating among staff at the dealership had suggested that the facility on Mount Ephraim would move to a development site on Longfield Road proved unfounded.

One member of staff told Kent Live:  “People are worried about where it will be because Tunbridge Wells traffic can affect how long it takes to get somewhere. They just want to know where it is going to be."

A spokesman for The Hendy Group told Kent Live: "Tunbridge Wells is strategically an important location for the Hendy Group and one of the reasons we bought Lifestyle Europe earlier this year."
