Pendragon has launched what it calls an “intense” vehicle technician recruitment drive, focused on recruiting 300 technicians before the end of 2016.

It comes after its recent interim results highlighting positive customer behaviour post EU referendum.

Identifying the increasing demand for skilled roles, the additional 300 vehicle technician jobs, including a number of apprenticeships, will add to the 9,000 strong team member base already employed by the company across the UK.

The technician recruitment drive is supported with recent "significant investment" in the group’s workshops across the Evans Halshaw and Stratstone network.

Trevor Finn, Pendragon chief executive, said: “Despite significant commentary on the potential negative impact of the EU referendum, we have not experienced any noticeable change in our customers’ buying behaviour, and it has been business as usual across our Evans Halshaw and Stratstone retailers.

“As a significant employer in the sector, the addition of 300 vehicle technician jobs, including a number of apprenticeships, is a key development for the business as we look to 2017 and beyond.

"Purpose-built facilities provide state-of-the-art environments, with team members benefitting from both manufacturer and internal training, continuous personal development plans and a variety of industry-leading benefits and salary packages, whilst having the opportunity to work on exciting brands such as Ferrari, Aston Martin and Ford."

The new roles are based around the UK, across all skill levels and grades.
