Peter Vardy Group is poised to open its second CarStore used car supermarket as work on a £7 million facility in Dundee nears completion.

The 70,000sq-ft facility, built on Dundee’s historic Valentines card factory, will open its doors next month.

More than 70 staff have already been recruited to work at the site which will house more than 500 cars, making it one of Scotland’s largest used car locations.

Quoted in the Dundee Evening Telegraph, Peter Vardy, chief executive of the group, said: “Work on our state-of-the-art Dundee CarStore is well under way, and we can’t wait till May 13 to throw open our doors to the car-buying public of Dundee.

“Providing the east coast of Scotland with a destination dealership of this scale and quality is something I have wanted to do for a while.”

Peter Vardy’s flagship Hillington CarStore in Glasgow sold 3,500 cars in its first year in operation and 4,000 in its second full year.
