Time is running out for dealerships to sign up to the new AM initiative Best UK Dealerships to Work For.

AM has partnered with Best Companies Group to launch the programme, which identifies and honours excellent dealerships to work for in the UK.

AM Best UK Dealerships to Work For is the only awards and recognition programme of its kind dedicated to the automotive retail sector.

Winners ... have said that, among other benefits, this enabled them to benchmark their company with their peers, and given them great public relations and marketing advantages.

Details of the top companies will be published with accompanying editorial in the December 2017 issue of AM, out in November, and on AM’s website.

The goal of AM’s Best UK Dealerships to Work for is to identify those great places to work which strive to create and build even better workplaces for their employees.

The initiative is integral for dealerships in the UK to compete in both national and global arenas.

We urge you to consider nominating your company.

Best Companies Group manages a similar initiative in America with great success.

Winners in that programme have said that, among other benefits, this enabled them to benchmark their company with their peers, and given them great public relations and marketing advantages.

The business environment of the 21st century is not characterised just by global competition and ever-increasing technologies, but also by a heightened appreciation for the quality of the workplace.

In a world of continuously shrinking margins, an intentional and progressive human resources strategy is critical to creating and sustaining a competitive advantage.

One measure of such strategies is the quality of the workplace experience. Indeed, the enhanced awareness of the importance of creating great workplaces is evidenced by the growing body of literature regarding workplace excellence.

Numerous studies show a strong correlation between profitability and creating a great place to work.

In addition to the positive impact the award has on employee relations and recruitment, the driving force for companies to participate is the remarkable effect that workplace improvements can have on their bottom line.

“We are pleased to team up with Best Companies Group to bring this fantastic recognition programme to the UK,” said AM editor-in-chief Stephen Briers.

“These exemplary dealerships will not only have great benefits and salaries, but also support the active lifestyle and have created cultures where people love to come to work.

“Our readers work hard and play hard, and in our opinion, a great dealership provides employees with the full package.”

The research process

The evaluation and selection process, conducted by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the employers’ policies and procedures combined with the results of a 75-question employee engagement and satisfaction survey.

While participation is free, the dealerships have the option of purchasing an in-depth Employee Feedback Report, which will enable them to develop and implement the strategic steps necessary to create a great workplace and continue to improve the performance of their business.

Don’t wait to enter your dealership as one of the UK’s Best Dealerships to Work for! If you have multiple dealerships, it is no problem - check the website for how to enter multiple locations at once.

The deadline for registration is June 2, 2017.
