Endeavour Automotive is preparing to open the doors to potential customers of its newly-opened flagship North London Hyundai showroom for the first time with an ‘open weekend’ event this weekend.

The group will welcome customers to the new 1,000 square-metre dealership facility in New Southgate, London, this weekend (June 9 and 10) as part of a special event which follows a relocation to the new site which boosted the franchise-point’s staff headcount by 20%.

The new North London site features display space for 16 new cars inside and Hyundai UK’s first indoor used car display area in London – capable of holding 34 cars – on the building’s first floor.

John Caney, chief executive  of Endeavour Automotive, said: “We are delighted to have welcomed our first customers in to our incredible new Hyundai North London dealership.

“It’s a development that the whole team can be proud of, with refreshing open spaces and modern furnishings that will complement the highest standards of customer service from our staff.

“The two-story site is a landmark for Endeavour and Hyundai, and we look forward to achieving ever-greater success together.”

Eandeavour said in a statement that Hyundai sales in the UK had been a driving factor in its decision to relocate its North London showroom to the brand-new two-storey solus site.

Hyundai’s Q1 registrations of 28,004 units represented growth of 0.5%.

The new Hyundai North London site features the Korean brand’s latest corporate identity and, beyond the enhancements to new and used cars sales, it also features a 10-bay workshop, incorporating dedicated MOT, tyre-fitting and wheel-alignment stations.

Tony Whitehorn, president and chief executive of Hyundai Motor UK, said: “Hyundai continues to go from strength to strength in the UK, including a new record month for sales in March 2018.

“It is great to see Endeavour Automotive’s investment in this new flagship site, which will enable them to take full advantage of the ever-increasing interest from retail and fleet buyers alike in our strong range of vehicles that offer high quality, style and value.”
