Lookers’ Guildford Audi showroom is undergoing a £3 million redevelopment programme which will aim to improve efficiency by increasing workshop capacity and reducing customer waiting times.

Work on the Moorfield Road franchised dealership is currently on track to be completed by October and will introduce a new Customer Private Lounge (CPL), which will allow customers to configure and customise their dream car on 80-inch projector screens, and a larger car display space, as part of the OEM’s latest corporate identity.

Lookers said in a statement that the addition of four ramps to the facility’s aftersales department – and a further six ramps at the recently-acquired Preparation Centre at the site – will increase workshop capacity and reduce waiting times significantly.

Also part of the new Guildford Audi dealership facility, following completion of the redevelopment works, will be a modern handover facility.

Cameron Wade, franchise director for Lookers Audi, said that the redeveloped dealership will provide the perfect platform to showcase the Audi brand. He said: “The future is very bright for Audi. We have the versatile A6 and Q8 launching into the New Year, and of course we’re taking orders for the he highly anticipated, aero-focused fully electric e-Tron.

“This new dealership will be the perfect way to showcase these fantastic cars and reflects the high bar that Audi sets itself in regard to both design and craftsmanship.”

The team at Lookers’ Guildford Audi franchise are now planning an official re-opening event, to take place in October, with customers, people in the local area and suppliers all to be invited.

The Lookers Group as a whole has committed to investment in the Volkswagen Group’s Audi brand across the UK in recent months.

Earlier this year it completed the makeover of Basingstoke Audi and the group is also currently going through a transformational rebuild at its Farnborough site.
