Jardine Motors Group is preparing to officially re-open its BMW dealership in Bury St Edmunds following a £1 million redevelopment of the franchised dealership site.

The facility will re-open as part of a special weekend-long event starting on January 26.

The event comes after a three-month project which has seen the dealership “expanded considerably” with the installation of dedicated BMWi and M product presentation stands, Jardine said.

The new site also features the all-new BMW corporate identity throughout, as well as the BMW Media Player, allowing customers to build a bespoke 3D BMW model of their dreams.

BMW Bury St Edmunds will be looking to invest in its aftersales team by hiring an additional three Technicians, taking them to a total of 15.

Bury St Edmunds’ head of business, Andrew Maund, said: “We are very excited to have reopened our doors to the customers of Bury St Edmunds in time for the New Year.

"2019 already looks to be a very successful year for the team with a host of new additions to both our highly dedicated team and impressive range of BMW cars.

“The investment by Jardine Motors Group will ensure we continue to meet our high standards of customer service.

"With a new vibrant feel, the unveiling of the redevelopment will help us to provide an unequalled retail experience, and I would like to personally invite anyone interested to come along and see the fantastic facilities we now offer.”

The dealership will host a reopening weekend on January 26-27 for local motorists and BMW fans to familiarise themselves with the newly refurbished site.

As part of the event, BMW will have a food tuk tuk on site as well as two historic classic cars, the BMW M1 and Z8, alongside an interactive racing wall simulator.
