DS Automobiles has awarded the team at W R Davies Motor Group's DS Salon Stafford with its ‘Entrepreneurial Award’ for outstanding achievement.

The PSA Group-owned French brand's Entrepreneurial Award recognised DS Salon Stafford for its highest standards in customer service, its sales successes and its approach to communications with existing and prospective clients through Social Media channels.

DS Automobiles’ UK managing director, Alain Descat, explained: “The team at DS Salon Stafford has embraced with great enthusiasm and drive the challenge to install DS as new premium Brand in the automotive market.

“They have stood out thanks to their entrepreneurial mind-set and innovative approach to promote the Brand and its new showcase, the DS Salon of Stafford.

"Delighting their customers is clearly an absolute priority for them, and they have metaphorically and literally gone lots of extra miles to do so. Congratulations!”

DS Salon Stafford's general manager, Craig Norton, said: “From the beginning, we could see the prospects for DS Automobiles, positioned to attract premium-minded customers who want that certain extra detail and style.

“We made sure that our services reflect our customers’ high expectations and have grown our business to anticipate the quickly expanding DS range, especially given the forthcoming electrification developments.

“These are exciting times, to witness and be a part of, for the DS brand while at the beginning of its journey. That’s why we are so delighted to be recognised for being entrepreneurial from the outset.”

According to data published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), DS Automobiles' UK registrations to the end of February declined by 47.9%, from 311 to 162 last month.

However, DS became a dedicated franchise on July 1, 2018, and the network of DS Stores and DS Salons has been recently developed and expanded with new outlets across the UK, rising from that time with 25 outlets to 35 by the third quarter.

The brand said that it would be able to announce "more openings in the weeks and months to come".
