Carbase has officially opened the doors to its new Vanbase commercial vehicle supermarket in Bristol.

The 2.2-acre facility, on Hartcliffe Way, Bristol, is dedicated to selling new, nearly new and used commercial vehicles and begun trading on Saturday, June 1, with sales initially available from a temporary building.

Carbase’s development of a new showroom is underway at the former Jewsons site.

Gordon Veale, general manager at Vanbase, said: “The new Vanbase store will embody the wider Carbase ethos and values of trust, transparency and fairness and we give our customers a real sense of security when it comes to buying their next vehicle.

“Until the new showroom is complete, customers can browse our van stock and take advantage of the full sales service from our friendly expert team.”

Carbase was awarded the Most Improved Dealership award at the 2019 AM Awards, in February.

As well as broadening the business, its new van store will serve to provide much needed local employment with eight new roles, it said in a statement.

Further positions including sales, apprenticeships and vehicle maintenance, will become available as part of the new store build and develop.
