Wessex Garages' £3m Kia and Nissan dealership redevelopment

Wessex Garages Kia Gloucester redevelopment plans

Wessex Garages has announced redevelopment plans for its Nissan and Kia car dealerships in Gloucester.

The retailer said it is in the process of executing a £3m upgrade for the sites on Mercia Road, Gloucester, in line with new brand guidelines and showroom identities.

The new Kia showroom will have a 'Global Store Concept', whilst the Nissan showroom upgrade will feature the 'Tablet' design exterior signage, while both brands will feature new ‘customer centric’ interiors.

Chris Wiseman, managing director at Wessex Garages, said: “We are delighted to be working with both brands as part of a series of refurbishments and investments at several of our sites.

“Whilst the Gloucester project is on the same footprint as the existing site, it is virtually a completely new building and will complement the new aftersales facility completed earlier this year.

“Customers can be assured that whilst there will be some disruption, we are definitely open for business as normal, albeit from a temporary facility on site.

“Therefore, we are asking our new and used customers to book appointments with us for viewings or let us bring the cars to their homes utilising our 'Demo to Your Door' service.”

In March 2022, Wiseman offered insight into winning back 'lost' customers in an AM webinar. All webinars hosted by AM can be watched back on-demand.

Wessex Garages' dealership renovations will start in August and are expected to be completed by Christmas 2022.
