Vertu Motors has completed "stunning" £1 million refurbishment of its Slough Mercedes-Benz dealership.

The AM100 PLC said the work is part of an ongoing programme of dealership investment and has extended handover bay areas of the showroom, in addition to updating the colleague area.

Raj Virdee, head of business at Vertu Slough Mercedes-Benz, said: “Our new-look dealership is stunning, and certainly demonstrates money well spent. It offers a much-improved experience for our customers and colleagues alike.

“The updated dealership allows us to showcase many Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models, as well as electric vehicles from the Mercedes-EQ family. With more space for handovers and an engaging digital display, the dealership feels fresh, modern, and best equipped to serve our customers well.”

Vertu's refreshed Mercedes showroom on Bath Road, Slough, houses nine models across the German premium camaker's range.

Visitors to the dealership, which is home to 114 colleagues and four apprentices, will be welcomed by a new large digital display wall, some of the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and have the option to visit the barista coffee bar.

A more casual desk arrangement will see dealership colleagues and customers sitting alongside each other as they build the specification of their new vehicle, said Vertu.

Vertu said earlier this month that it is taking its car dealerships “off grid” as part of efforts to combat the soaring cost of energy in the second half of 2022.
