Greater Manchester-based Premier Automotive has opened the doors to the 107th dealership in Isuzu UK’s franchised retail network.

The family-owned Kia and Suzuki franchisee joined the specialist Japanese pick-up brand’s operation with the official opening of its new showroom, on Clarkway, Hyde, on Saturday (October 1).

Director Ben Bird said that the franchise addition came at an exciting time for his business, which has experience in working with all-wheel-drive and commercial vehicles in its capacity as a Mitsubishi and Ssangyong authorised aftersales provider.

Bird said: “We are excited to begin a partnership with Isuzu UK and introduce the D-Max range at Premier's Hyde facility. This will allow us to provide our loyal and established customer base with the capable and award-winning Isuzu D-Max range.

“It’s an exciting time here at Premier as during 2022 we have been refreshing each of our showrooms to ensure they reflect the quality of the vehicles that we offer.”

Isuzu brand director Alan Able said: “We’re proud to be welcoming Premier Automotive to the Isuzu franchise, the group are a valuable addition to the network and are well positioned to strengthen the sales and aftersales operations across the North West.”

JT Hughes and Chorleyt Group are among the brand’s latest franchised retail network additions in 2022 after a series of appointments from the now discontinued Mitsubishi Motors in the UK franchise last year – welcoming 16 new dealers in total.

The brand also appointed 13 retailers as authorised Max Arctic Trucks AT35 dealers this summer.

Earlier this year York Van Centre was named as Isuzu UK's retailer of the year.
