6 2019 Lexus UX

Lexus has announced pricing and specifications for the new UX 250h compact SUV.

The all-new model will be launched in March next year, set to rival the BMW X1 and Audi Q3.

Dealers will be presented with a streamlined grade structure, offering three trims and a range of option packs.

Entry level models are simply called UX and will be priced from £29,900. The UX grade will feature the second generation Lexus Safety System+, a new Lexus Navigation system, dual-zone air conditioning and 17-inch alloy wheels.

F-Sport models will cost £33,900 and include F Sport interior and exterior styling features, including F Sport 18-inch alloy wheels and front spindle grille, plus F Sport front seats with fabric and Tahara upholstery, pedals and steering wheel in the cabin. The specification also includes rear privacy glass, heated, power-adjustable front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Range-topping Takumi models (£39,100) feature leather upholstery, integrated front seat ventilation, a Mark Levinson 13-speaker Premium Surround Sound system, 10-inch multimedia display, 360-degree camera, driver’s head-up display, sunroof, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with braking function.

Five option packs will be available. The Premium Pack (UX and F Sport) provides 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, rear privacy glass, integrated heating in the front seats and steering wheel and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

Taking luxury specification to an even higher level, the Premium Plus Pack (UX and F Sport) adds smooth leather upholstery, cabin trim finish inspired by the textured grain of traditional Japanese washi paper screens, smart entry, power tailgate and illuminated entry system. When selected for the F Sport, the pack further provides a 10-inch multimedia display and power-adjustable steering wheel.

The Tech & Safety Pack (UX and F Sport) equips the car with a Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic with Auto Brake, triple-eye LED headlights with Advanced Headlamp System, a driver’s head-up display and a wireless charging tray for smartphones. When applied to the F Sport model, it further provides Lexus’ latest generation Adaptive Variable Suspension system, which debuted on the LC flagship coupe. This provides automatic, independent, damping force at each wheel in response to driver inputs and road conditions, adjusting through 650 predefined levels for seamless performance.

The UX model is available with a Tech & Sound Pack that equips the vehicle with the Mark Levinson audio system, head-up display, wireless charger and power-adjustable front seats and steering wheel.

For the F Sport, the Takumi Pack upgrade includes all the content of the Premium Plus and Tech & Safety Packs, together with front seat ventilation, the Mark Levinson audio system, a sunroof and 360-degree camera.

Both front and all-wheel drive versions of the UX 250h will be available with a single engine - the self-charging 2.0-litre hybrid powertrain.
