Kia UK has been named in the 2023 Best Workplaces for Women list by Great Place to Work.

The company has its own women’s network and is an active member of the Automotive 30% Club, an organisation encouraging motor industry firms to put women in more key leadership positions.

Recently Kia UK has also partnered with Moving Ahead on Inclusive Leadership training for all employees as well as a cross company mentoring programme to advance workplace diversity, equity and inclusion.

Supporting women in the workplace, Kia UK has recently launched the offer of Women in Leadership apprenticeships to foster talent and unlock potential, as well as menopause support via the specialist app, Peppy.

Kia UK said it is is committed to creating an inclusive working environment and is continually updating its inclusion plan and recruitment practices, with initiatives to support employees.

Furthermore, Kia UK staff benefit from a newly updated, enhanced family leave policy with transition support through coaching, and both formal and informal flexible working.

Benbow hopes that Kia's inclusion in the Best Workplace for Women list will servce as encouragement to all women to get into automotive.

The Best Workplace for Women ranking follows Kia UK being named a Great Place to Work in May this year, which was subsequently followed by 13 European-based Kia headquarters also being named as a Great Place to Work.

In March, the new Kia Niro won the ‘World's Best Car for 2023’ and supreme winner accolade at the 2023 Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY).

On the same day, Kia UK celebrated International Women’s Day 2023 (IWD23) by holding a companywide event focused around this year’s #EmbraceEquity theme alongside the company’s ongoing directive to promote inclusive leadership, raise awareness about discrimination and drive gender parity.
