Dacia has increased the scrappage allowance on 18-registration Duster models by up to £2,000.

Buyers can receive an extra £500 off a Duster Lauréate dCi 110 4x2, bringing the price down to £12,995.

All-wheel-drive models receive an additional £1,000 scrappage allowance, on top of the existing £1,000 already on offer.

In addition to this offer, between March 12 and 18, participating dealers will offer the Duster Lauréate dCi 110 with up to £2,200 deposit contribution when purchased on a three-year 4.9% Dacia Dimensions PCP offer.

The Duster Lauréate comes fitted with Bluetooth, DAB, cruise control and air conditioning.

It’s powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which in 4x2 guise enables the Duster Lauréate to return up to 64.2mpg.

Prestige and Ambiance versions continue to be available with a scrappage allowance of £1,000, meaning customers can get behind the wheel of a duster for as little as £9,995.

The Dacia Scrappage Scheme also extends to the Sandero, prices from £6,895.

Drivers taking advantage of the scrappage scheme must trade in a car that is Euro 4 standard or older, registered before December 31 2009. Vehicles part exchanged under this scheme will be responsibly scrapped.
