New long-range MG ZS EV priced from £30,940

The newly-updated MG ZS EV

MG Motor UK’s newly-updated ZS EV will be priced from £30,940 in its new long-range guise – offering 273 miles of a zero emissions transport on a single charge.

Also offering refreshed styling and a new infotainment system, the new electric SUV is marked out by a new front bumper separates and the removal of the conventional grille to make its charge port more visible.

Long Range versions make use of a new 72kWh battery pack, which can deliver a 273-mile range.

Standard range ZS EVs are equipped with a 51kWh battery (up from 41.5kWh), giving a range of 198 miles, and start from £28,495.

The combination Type 2 and CCS charger provides up to 7kW fast charging using the on-board AC charger, or up to 76kW DC rapid charging. This means the Long Range battery can be fully charged in as little as 42 minutes.

Inside the newly-updated MG ZS EVAmong the standard features on the entry level ZS EV SE are: automatic air conditioning; LED headlights; adaptive cruise control; keyless entry; vehicle-to-load charging; 360-degree parking camera; a 10.1-inch touchscreen with sat nav; and multiple USB charging points.

The Trophy model, priced at £30,995 (after PiCG), adds a panoramic ‘Sky Roof’ and leather-style seats, along with roof rails, heated front seats, electric driver’s seat adjustment, rain-sensing wipers and wireless phone charging.

MG’s flagship Trophy Connect trim adds iSMART with live services (weather, traffic and Amazon Prime). It is priced at £31,495 after PiCG.

All New ZS EVs feature MG’s suite of driver assistance technology – MG Pilot which includes Active Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning System, Traffic Jam Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist and Intelligent High Beam Assist.

Trophy and Trophy Connect models also get Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist.
