Bollington Insurance has appointed Jim Knight as its account manager for the motor trade as its seeks to expand its market share.

Luton-based Knight has worked in insurance roles since 1986 – within Marsh and Giles insurance brokers – and will now focus his attention on expanding Bollington’s business in the South East of England.

A Bollington spokesman said that Knight, the son of a vehicle body shop owner, has “an affinity” with the sector and a thorough understanding of the insurance requirements of the diverse businesses within the trade.

Bollington’s commercial development manager, Pauline Brookes, said: “Jim is a great acquisition for the team and a good fit for the business.

“He has a strong focus on customer relations and developing long-term relationships, which will not only help us to acquire more business but also ensure a stream of repeat business too.”
