Oracle Asset Finance Ltd has appointed former Barclays, Direct Line, Nat West and RBS man Mark Catton as its new chief executive.

Formerly chief executive of RBS’ UK Corporate Bank, Catton has more than 25 years of banking experience and joins the company as it embarks on the next stage of an ambitious growth and strategic development plan.

He will join the company’s board with immediate effect and take up his new post from September 1st, following FCA approval.

Catton has been a Non-Executive Director of Direct Line Group PLC and held key managerial roles at Barclays and NatWest and has played instrumental roles developing and strengthening large customer bases and franchises, according to a statement issued by Oracle.

Catton said: “I am delighted to be joining Oracle and look forward to leading the business through its next phase of development and growth.

“On average, the business has successfully grown 20% each year and this is down to its fantastic team who are passionate about delivering the best service.

“Having spent much of my career in large companies I have looked at taking on a new challenge, to head up and develop an ambitious SME, and Oracle has offered me the perfect opportunity.”

Established in 2005, Oracle Finance specialises in vehicles valued above £40,000, including multi-million classics and supercars.

Oracle claims that more than 50% of the company’s transactions are repeat business and 20% of new clients acquired through recommendation.
