Cambria Automobiles has appointed Chris Roberts as its new operations and business development director with responsibility for the North and Midlands regions.

A statement issued by the AM100 retail group said that former Drive Vauxhall managing director, Roberts, would make an “excellent addition” as it looked to develop its operations in the North and Midlands regions.

Prior to his time at Drive, Roberts also served as director of market representation for General Motors in Europe and the United Kingdom and has also run franchised dealer groups.

Cambria said that Roberts would take up his new post following a short handover period and will report directly to Cambria’s Motor Division managing director, Tim Duckers.

Cambria chief executive, Mark Lavery, said: “We are delighted to have appointed an individual of Chris’ calibre and I am confident that he will be an excellent addition to the senior management team.

“Chris brings vast experience to the role, with a brief to develop the North and Midlands regions. I look forward to working with Chris as we continue to grow as a Group.”

Roberts said: “I am delighted to be joining Cambria and adding my experience to a strong team at an exciting and busy time for the business.”
