Modix has announced that its managing director Darren Sinclair will take up the appointment of chief customer officer in a senior management reshuffle.

Sinclair (pictured) has been managing director of Modix UK since 2016, and led the business through a period of technological regeneration, and innovative product development.

Sinclair said: “I’m delighted to take up this expanded role within Modix to support our global accounts, and build on the fantastic collaboration that is already taking place across the business.”

In his new role, Sinclair will continue to lead the Modix UK team, but will also take responsibility for global customer accounts.

Sinclair said: “The UK is, and will continue to be, a hugely important market for Modix, and I’m proud to lead a great team.

"I’m confident that we will take advantage of even more opportunities as we develop the tools and attitudes we need to think and operate globally over the months ahead.”

The move comes as part of a restructure of Modix International’s senior team, which will allow the business to more effectively support its global manufacturer customers.

In addition to this change Didier Van Bouwel, formerly global business development director, takes on the role of chief operating officer (COO).

Cox Automotive Continental Europe’s chief executive, Ivica Varvodic, said: “At Modix we work with a huge range of customers, from global manufacturers to independent dealers. We recognise that some customers need us to operate on a global scale, and that means working together effectively across all our locations around the world.”

“With his knowledge of the business, proven leadership skills, and ability to develop comprehensive solutions that meet specific customer needs, Darren is ideally placed to help us deliver on our international objectives.”
