SsangYong Motors UK has named Mark Burrows as its new director of aftersales, with immediate effect.

He replaces Doug Lincoln, who left the business in May to join Nissan as product management manager.

“I’m looking forward to joining the SsangYong UK team in the next stage of its development. I have an array of experience across the automotive sector so I hope that I can help build upon the excellent foundations that are already in place.

There is gratification in seeing a brand such as SsangYong evolve so I’m delighted to be joining this growing brand and company at this stage in its’ development,“ Burrows said.

Burrows has worked in the motor industry all his working life, starting as an apprentice technician with Mitsubishi Motors, moving on to several different roles within the company, including regional sales manager and field sales manager.

He then went onto join the Mitsubishi Ralliart team in 1999 as national sales manager, before joining Kia.

Burrows also held roles at Triumph Motorcycles and Harley-Davidson before joining Tesla as regional service manager, responsible for emerging markets.

Most recently, he worked as product manager for Jaguar Land Rover Classic, where he was responsible for parts, accessories and lifestyle portfolio products.

As director of aftersales at SsangYong Motors UK, Burrows will be responsible for SsangYong’s aftersales strategy, meeting volume and profit targets, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. He will be also be responsible for the firms’ port operation at Avonmouth and the personal development and coaching of a diverse team.
