Snows Motor Group is donating £60,000 to six charities after delivering on its fund-raising targets with a year-long fund-raising campaign to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The ‘Mission 60’ fund-raising initiative involved colleagues from the AM100 car retail group's network of dealerships, service centres and back-office operations across the south and south-west of England.

More than 30 events took place, including: two football matches; 12 abseils; two skydives; five trekking events; a quiz; and a head shave.

Olivia Snow, customer experience manager at Snows Motor Group, said: “‘We decided to set ourselves an ambitious fund-raising target because we felt that in our 60th year, it was important to do something to raise money for causes our people care about and the communities we serve.

‘‘To enable us to reach our £60,000 target, we challenged all our employees to raise just £60 each, however they wanted to, and have some fun along the way. The six deserving charities that will benefit were chosen after a vote involving everyone in the company.

‘‘The work each one carries out is vital, and with the charity sector having faced tough times over the last couple of years, every penny really does count. Thank you to everyone who has supported our fund-raising activities during 2022 – we couldn’t have done it without you.”

The money will be divided between six charities: Second Chance Animal Rescue (South Hampshire), Jeremiah’s Journey (Plymouth), Children’s Hospice South West, Rowans Hospice (Waterlooville), Naomi House & Jacksplace and Wessex Cancer Trust.

Snows Motor Group celebrated record financial results last year after more than doubling its return on sales and growing pre-tax profits by 183% in 2021.
