Close Brothers Motor Finance has appointed a new account manager covering the Portsmouth and Isle of Wight areas.

Amy Bridges joined the company as a branch administrator, and in her new role will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with dealers in the Portsmouth and Isle of Wight areas, and helping them grow their businesses.

Bridges said: “It’s been a steep learning curve but the whole team has been really supportive, giving me lots of advice and help when I need it. I really enjoy being out on the road, meeting people and getting to know their businesses. I’ve already built up strong relationships with many dealers in the area and I’m looking forward to developing connections with more local dealers in the coming months.”

Head of sales for Close Brothers Motor Finance in the South, John Cassidy, said: “From first meeting Bridges, it was clear that she had the right attitude for the job – she’s personable, charismatic, tenacious and most of all, enthusiastic – all the qualities required in a successful sales person.

“Bridges started as an account manager in December last year and has really taken to the role, consistently meeting all of her targets, and turning a previously underperforming post into a great success.

“At Close Brothers Motor Finance, we are committed to developing our people and helping them achieve their personal career goals. We are very pleased that she is settling into her new position so well and I have no doubt that she has a promising career ahead of her.”

Close Brothers Motor Finance has invested in a training and development strategy that aims to retain the right people, in the right roles at the right time.
