Dealermatch activity leads to new ASE appointment

Favourable market conditions, a burgeoning bank of dealership acquisition and disposal requests have led dealer profitability specialists ASE to expand its team behind the Dealermatch service.

Adam Cottam (pictured) joins as corporate finance executive, bringing his motor trade and accountancy expertise to broker deals and provide support through the transaction process.

ASE chief executive Rob Jones said: “Cottam has been working with ASE in both our audit and composite departments since 2007, he has a thorough understanding of the retail motor trade and great relationships with many dealers and manufacturers, he’ll prove a great asset to the corporate finance team who deliver the ASE Dealermatch service.”

Cottam first joined the ASE audit team and in 2009. With a detailed understanding of the network structure, Cottam has over the last six years helped to deliver composite reporting to dealers and manufacturers on a monthly basis, being part of the team that rolled out the innovative RAPID composite portal.

Cottam added: “I’m delighted to take on this new role as there has been significant transaction activity already in H1 2015, and it’s a vibrant market. I’m very much looking forward to helping dealers in the second half of the year, whether they are looking to expand or looking to sell.”
