Leading parts distributor Andrew Page answered its London calling as the business set up shop within the M25 for the first time.

The Leeds based outfit is employing a fleet of six motorcycles – a first for the business – and a fleet of vans to serve its new customers in the capital after opening a new site at Woodford Green.

Simon Mullin, Andrew Page sales and marketing director said that the new venture, which opened its doors in December, has already seen the strongest start of any Andrew Page site over the past five years. He said: “The M25 and London area presents Andrew Page with a great opportunity and the Woodford Green site is the first step in us being able to serve the garages in the area effectively.

“It is great for us to come to a new area and expand the business, creating more jobs and opportunities locally in the process. The new branch has already got off to a flying start.”

An Andrew Page spokesman said that the new site underlines a commitment to expand its national network of branches throughout 2016, with the new team in Woodford Green joining a workforce of more than 2,600 employees.

Andrew Page has historically operated as a national motor factor, supplying a wide range of quality automotive parts to the trade through a network of over 100 branches.

In 2015, the company also launched a network of retail outlets with an online click and collect function, providing car enthusiasts and home engineers access to all parts offered through Andrew Page.

The business has a central distribution facility in Derbyshire which is stocked with over 140,000sq-ft of car parts and distribution is supported by 940 vehicles.
