Aston Barclay has secured a contract with John Banks Group that will see all vehicles from the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk-based dealer group remarketed at its Chelmsford centre.

Building on an existing relationship that started with the Bury St Edmunds-based dealer group in September 2015, the exclusive agreement will see the UK’s top-three auction provider continue to supply a complete remarketing solution for John Banks Group at its Monday sale, with the addition of a new overage section at a weekly Wednesday morning auction.

With franchised dealerships selling models from Dacia, Honda, Infiniti, Renault and Suzuki in Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridge and Ipswich, Aston Barclay will handle a varied profile of stock for the group.

Mark Banks, managing director at John Banks Group, said: “For the last year, Aston Barclay has continued to go above and beyond in every area, producing leading results through exceptional service and performance.

“Regardless of our requirements, they consistently exceed our expectations, making the decision to commit additional volume an easy one.”

Aston Barclay has secured additional dealership volume for 2017 through new agreements with Saxton 4x4 and Quest Motor Group, plus a renewal of its exclusive remarketing agreement with Cargiant.

Martin Potter, group operations director at Aston Barclay, said: “This new agreement is part of an ongoing trend for regional dealer groups to look for a strong independent remarketing partner that provides a personal service, listens to their unique requirements and generates leading results, rather than be swallowed up and feeling un-involved in the remarketing process by our larger competitors.”
