Vantage Motor Group will remarket 6,000 used cars through auction houses in Donington Park, Prees Heath and a planned Wakefield ‘Mega Centre’ as part of a new solus remarketing deal with Aston Barclay.

Vantage will take advantage of the expanding auction group’s physical and online platforms to dispose of its unwanted stock starting from August 2, with sales expected to start from the new, 70,000sq-ft Wakefield site following its completion in Q4.

Mark Robinson, managing director of the Knaresborough-based AM100 retail group, said that the new technology being employed by Aston Barclay was central to the signing of the agreement, which will see Vantage become ‘lead vendor’ at the new northern Mega centre.

“What Aston Barclay is creating in the remarketing industry is new and exciting. The new technology makes the buying and selling experience more dynamic, and the entire look and feel of its physical estate fits in well with our company values,” Robinson said.

He added: “Wakefield looks amazing and we are proud to become lead vendor when it opens in Q4. We also look forward to trialling some of the group’s new technology, including its appraisal platform.”

Vantage represents seven automotive brands, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Citroen and Skoda in the midlands and the north of England, and runs its own V Select used car brand.
