Lookers Group’s Taggarts franchised retail operation will remarket 2,600 cars through BCA auction halls as part of a new exclusive remarketing partnership.

Sales of vehicles from the Scotland-based Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo retailer will take place every Tuesday at BCA Edinburgh and every Wednesday at BCA Livingstone.

Nigel McMinn, chief operating officer at Lookers plc, said: “BCA brings the expertise and scale we need to support our used car operations. Their team have an in-depth understanding of the local market, and we are confident the partnership will support our aims.”

BCA offers a wide selection of dealer, fleet, finance and lease stock every day of the week across the Edinburgh, Livingstone and Kinross branches and also stages twice-weekly light commercial sales at the LCV Centre at BCA Glasgow.

BCA chief commercial officer, Craig Purvey, said: “Taggarts is a leading brand in Scotland and we are working in partnership with the Taggarts team to structure a bespoke remarketing programme around their used car operations that will support their continued and profitable growth.”

He added: “BCA understands that a successful retail operation such as Taggarts is flexible and able to respond quickly to shifting consumer demand.

“BCA is energising the wholesale supply chain to match that flexibility and help dealers sell more vehicles, more quickly.

“A focus on speeding up the time to retail and supporting dealers through the end-to-end process makes BCA the leader in its field.”
